Exploring Big Sky

Big Sky offers endless opportunities for adventure — from breathtaking hikes to relaxing afternoons surrounded by mountain views. Whether you’re looking to get outdoors or simply enjoy the charm of local shops and restaurants, there’s something for everyone. Below are a few of our favorite recommendations during your visit.

Getting to Big Sky

The closest airport to Big Sky is Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) — located about one hour north of Big Sky.

We recommend renting a car if you’re comfortable driving, as it’s the most flexible way to explore the area and take in the mountain scenery along the way.

Please note that Uber and other rideshare services are not readily available in Big Sky. If you prefer not to rent a car, we suggest booking a private transfer from the airport. Local companies such as Karst Stage or other reputable shuttle services with strong reviews offer reliable transportation directly from BZN to Big Sky.
